Day Camp
Directly following the completion of the school year, the Enterphase Day Treatment Program provides a day camp program for the month of July. The camp incorporates academics, computer skills, arts and crafts, physical education, day trips and field excursions.
The camp operates from 8:30am until 3:30pm Monday to Friday. The Enterphase day camp programs are hosted on school property by the Durham Board of Education. All Day Treatment staff are assigned to the camp, as well as four teachers assigned by the Board to provide academics. Counsellors-in-training are students from the day treatment program or mainstream setting who formally apply for this role, are financially compensated and gain an opportunity for life skills and work experience.
The day camp program takes on a much more relaxed and casual environment than that of the Day Treatment Program. Approximately twelve groups are developed that concentrate on the development of life skills and social skills while having fun and earning academic credits.
